This is Johnathon

Sometimes, a simple act of kindness can make a huge impact on someone's life. That was the case when a gentleman named Johnathon helped a handicapped woman after she dropped her groceries all over the street one night. This random act of kindness not only made the woman's day but also earned Johnathon recognition from his employer (Buck Buckley’s Total Basement Finishing), who was proud of him for going above and beyond to help someone in need.

Johnathon was coming back from delivering materials to a job site when he noticed the woman in a motorized chair spill some groceries and struggled to pick them up. Without hesitation, he told his co-worker to stop the truck and ran to help her gather the items back into her bag. The woman was visibly grateful with tears and thanked Johnathon for his help.

What Johnathon didn't know was that his act of kindness was caught on camera by his fellow co-worker. Who shared how proud he was to have him working by his side. The man works for Buck Buckley’s Total Basement Finishing which prides itself on its values of kindness, compassion, and community involvement. The company was impressed by Johnathon's actions and decided to honor him for his selfless act.

Owner Scot “Buck” Buckley said, “We built this company with people who are passionate and caring. Just all-around good people. What Johnathon did doesn’t surprise me because these are the type of people I want at our company. I’m extremely proud of what he did and grateful to have him on our team.

His manager who was the one that talked about the story with others, Jon, sums up the night perfectly in a text to the company that night. “I know it’s hard to see but that’s Jonathan from our delivery team, just being Jonathan. He happened to notice a woman that was handicapped on a scooter. She dropped her belongings all over the road. We stopped, and he got out and ran to assist her. She turned to tears (and I nearly did myself). Anyways, I just wanted you guys to know how grateful I am and have been to have him work with me on our delivery team and with us as a company. That is the type of guy he is, salt of the earth as they are.

We at Buck Buckley’s Total Basement Finishing are honored to have Johnathon on our team and are proud of the message a story like this sends. No matter who is watching, no matter how small or big, some kindness can make someone’s day.
