The homeowners have owned their home for 6 years and are seeking an estimate to finish their basement. The basement is currently unfinished, and they are interested in adding two rooms and a bathroom. The project entails creating an open concept space with a total area of 849 square feet, including two bedrooms and a full bath.
In Menomonee Falls, WI, a homeowner with an unfinished 1,000-square-foot basement is planning a complete transformation to create a functional and versatile living space. The design includes an open-concept recreation area, a bedroom, and two offices. Features will include paintable perimeter walls, recessed can lighting, and baseboard heating to ensure a comfortable and inviting environment. This renovation will maximize the basement’s potential, providing both private and communal spaces tailored to the homeowner's needs.
A homeowner in Hales Corner, WI, wanted to transform their 366-square-foot open concept basement into a functional space with a bedroom and a bathroom. Due to time constraints, we scheduled a separate appointment for both homeowners to be present together. They envisioned an open concept area with a full bath, featuring a painted ceiling, recessed can lights, and our finished wall system. They also wanted to see our ThermalDry® Elite Plank Flooring in walnut. Additionally, the project included installing a SaniDry Sedona Air System to maintain optimal air quality. The result is a beautifully finished basement that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
A homeowner in Greendale, WI, had an unfinished basement that he wanted to transform into a functional living space. Since purchasing the home in 2014, the homeowner and his family had occasionally experienced minor water issues in the basement, although they were not a consistent problem. Despite these concerns, Jim envisioned turning the basement into a recreation area, exercise room, and home office.
Initially, the homeowner considered adding a full bath to the basement. However, he decided instead to focus on maximizing the existing space and converting a half bath on the main floor into a full bath. The primary goal was to create a comfortable and practical environment for his family while addressing the basement's occasional water issues.
Our team approached the project by first addressing the moisture problem to ensure a dry and comfortable basement. We installed a Sanidry system to control humidity and prevent future water damage. To enhance the basement's aesthetics and functionality, we incorporated a painted ceiling and ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring in Walnut, covering two-thirds of the 629-square-foot area. Additionally, recessed can lights were installed to provide ample lighting throughout the space.
By transforming the basement into a versatile area that includes a recreation space, an exercise room, and a home office, we were able to meet the homeowners needs without the addition of a new bathroom. The updated basement now serves as a beautiful, functional space that combines practicality and style, allowing the homeowner and his family to enjoy their home to the fullest.
The homeowner and her family have called their home their own since 2008, and they're ready to transform their unfinished basement into a more functional and enjoyable space. With the basement already roughed for a bathroom and featuring an egress window, the homeowner envisions creating a luxurious retreat that includes a much-desired bathroom as well as a dedicated theater room. The project aims to enhance their lifestyle by adding both convenience and entertainment value to their home. With a total area of 589 square feet, the basement will undergo a significant transformation, turning into a large open concept space with a separate theater room. The plan includes installing a new floor and ceiling to complete the modern and comfortable look they desire.
